Greater Detroit Foreign Trade Zone, Inc. (GDFTZ) is the grantee or administrator of Foreign Trade Zone No. 70 and is responsible for the development, marketing and administration of foreign trade zones in its grant area, which is, essentially Southeast Michigan. GDFTZ received its grant of authority from the Foreign-Trade Zones Board, United States Department of Commerce on July 21, 1981.
